The first step is connection.
The Educator Peer Network is the SIG’s space for medical educators and institutions to exchange implementation experience, evidence and practical resources in clinical communication and related areas of competency-based medical education.
Clinical CommEx · Issue 01
The launch issue of Clinical CommEx — Clinical Communication Exchange brings together the final national consultation findings, evidence, institutional experience, MEU perspectives and the programme for the National Advisory Session.
Clinical CommEx will serve as one of the network’s continuing channels for sharing useful evidence, implementation experience and contributions from participating institutions.
What the network is for
The network is intended to create a low-friction way for educators and institutions to exchange implementation experience, discuss common challenges and share useful evidence and resources.
It is not a commercial forum and joining the network does not create any obligation to participate in future projects.
Peer exchange
Share institutional experience in teaching, practice, assessment, feedback and faculty development.
Evidence updates
Receive concise CBME and clinical communication briefings with attention to the strength and limits of the evidence.
Focused discussions
Take part in virtual peer exchanges and topic-focused working groups when there is a clear educational need.
Academic collaboration
Identify opportunities for multicenter research, shared resources and collaborative educational work.
Useful outputs first, then deeper participation.
The network begins with Clinical CommEx, email briefings and focused virtual peer exchanges. Working groups and collaborative activities can then develop around specific educational needs, rather than asking members to join another discussion platform.
